IMAGE Project Training Webcast

This webcast introduces viewers to the IMAGE Project, the web-based WorldArt kiosk, the SJSU Visual Resources digital library, and the EmbARK database that was used to create the web Kiosk. It will also discuss the resources used to catalog images going into the database and stress the importance of standards.

(the company that develops the database our kiosk runs on). ImageAXS is
very compatible with the kiosk, and it will run on Windows systems,
on Mac OS 9, or in the Classic mode of OS X.

EmbARK: Gallery Systems offers a large variety of industrial-strength
image management tools (EmbARK being one of them), directed mainly
towards universities, artists, or corporate archives with large collections.

iPhoto: this is a very powerful program for managing images and making
presentations, and is available only for Mac OS X. It also can be downloaded for

iView: this program functions similarly to iPhoto, and is available for
Mac OS 9 and OS X, and Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP. There is a trial version,
