Railroads The railway line in Paris was built between 1851
and 1869 in order to connect the citys six train stations with one another. It's
introduction became a catalst for the growth of industry in France because of it's ability
to efficiently transport bulk goods over a great distance. The role it played as a public
transport allowed people
to leave their rural towns in search for better opportunities in bigger cities.
