General Overview

|::| Exotic
Exotic influences entered France from the Orient, Africa and Asia. These influences were widely caused by territorial expansions like Napoleon's conquests at the beginning of the century or colonialization at the end of the century. Cabinet-makers did not necessarily produce furniture in one of these new styles but they rather mixed them up with all kinds of other styles.
