Spanish mosque in Cordoba built by ruler Abd er Rahman.

The Great Mosque of Samarra
Built closely on the ancient site of Mesopotamia. The Great Mosque of Samarra is bounded by the Tigres and Euphrates rivers.

Ibn Tulun
Mosque built for the Egyptian ruler Ahmad Ibn Tulun. It features a spiraling outer staircase on the outside of its minaret which closely resembles that of the Great Mosque of Samarra.

Ince Minare Madrasa
A single unit mosque of the pre-Seljuk period. Contained within it was a collage, hospital and soup kitchen.

Yesil Cami, Iznik
.Represents early Ottoman single unit type mosques. Iznik's Yesil Cami has strong Seljuk Turk influences such as its brick minaret.

Royal Ottoman Mosque and shrine of Mehmet I. Known for it's elaborate marble and tilework as well as it's green domes. Also known as the Green Mosque.

Mosque built for Ottoman Emporor Beyazit II

Suleymaniye Mosque
Mosque built for Suleyman the Magnificent by great Ottoman architect Sinan. The Suleymaniye became the main mosque of the Ottoman Empire rivaling the Hagia Sophia.
